Blue Nile Inc. (NASDAQ: NILE) director, Mark Vadon, who has consistently been selling off Blue Nile stock for the last month and a half sold over 69000 shares of the company’s stock in the open market in three transactions during the last week .The director sold the shares for a total transaction value of $2.7 million approx. Last week’s transactions leave the director with a current shareholding of 130768 shares, which has more or less remained constant since the beginning of August. Sales by the director have more or less compensated the options exercised by the director over the last two months and therefore have not been of much concern. The stock closed the last trading session at a price of $40.15, registering a one day gain of 0.75%. The stock has gained over 7% since the beginning of August.
